Why kids

We couldn't imagine our lives without family. From a young age, Dean always spoke about being a dad. Coming out was such a sad and painful experience because at the time, it was assumed that being gay meant there was to be no kids. Fast-forward and the world is now so different! The possibility of kids was something we both agreed on, on our very first date.
The happiest we have been over several years has been when we have been around little ones. When our friend asked us to be godparents to Teo, and then later on Bella, we wanted to make sure we were active in their lives, visiting them as often as we can. When Teo asked Dean "when are you two going to hurry up and have a baby?" it certainly spurred us on to get moving!
When we announced to our parents that we were going to start surrogacy, Dean's brother also announced him and his wife were expecting. Now little Amelia a gorgeous little girl and we dream of seeing her play with her little cousin, taking their hand and looking after them. Josh's dad, a retired pilot, talks about the model planes he will pass on to his grandkids and teach them about flying. He has also begun preparing many home movies of Josh's mum, so the grandkids can know her and how much she wanted grandkids.
It's this love of family bonds that keeps us going. The desire to grow our family and offer our love to a little one. To put their needs above ours. To make sure they are loved, cared for and given every opportunity in life to be their best self.
We would love your help to make it happen and would love to hear from you.
Love, Dean and Josh
